It usually happens on a monthly basis when a fight is announced that members of the "Internet Fighting Community" weigh in on the decisions made by a promotional company and throw up a red light of disapproval at the choices made by said promotional company. The latest fight in question is the main event for the October 4th Elite XC card on CBS pitting Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson against the 44-year old Ken Shamrock.

Many fans are up in arms that the "past his prime" Shamrock will be fighting the "protected" Kimbo Slice and no one could possibly want to see such a fight.

Contrary to both men's proven track records of delivering record audiences on live television, this fight has been disregarded by the purists as a "waste of time" and a "channel changer". This got me thinking about what a promotion would present if run strictly by those populating the online universe?

Here is my template of rules for the forthcoming "Internet Fighting Championships" promotion:

**All fights will be contested without judges with any fights reaching the time limit being sent to a message board of choice for an official decision within 24-hours

**No fighter past the age of 40 will be invited to fight

**No professional wrestling experience - and no exceptions to this rule

**Commentary will be done in Japanese - regardless of the region

**Fighters will be encouraged to decline any post fight comments in the ring or cage but rather bow to the audience and will proceed to the backstage area unless they decide to challenge a fighter in another organization, who is under a long term deal and thus negating any chance that fight will take place

**There will be no interviews with celebrities or fighters at cage side to discuss upcoming fights - there will be taped fights on hand to air in between fights as entrances occur

**As per the last ruling - The Rock, The Undertaker, Steve Austin and Kurt Angle are banned from the building - they aren't real fighters

**Under no circumstances will rematches be booked

**Rash guards and spandex pants will be allowed to generate more sponsors for fighters

**Every fighter will be paid a minimum $50,000 to fight and have the option of a $75,000 win bonus

**Matt Lindland will fight on EVERY card...at $350,000

**You cannot fight on a main card until you have a minimum 12 fights under your belt

**Athletes crossing over from other sports is prohibited

**All fights made will be made according to their sanctioning body record with personal conflicts ignored - this is a sport, damn it!

**All close fights MUST mean it's a split decision

**SUDDEN DEATH OVERTIME ROUNDS

**If a fight is close and it's for a championship yet the challenger has edged the champion on points, scores can be thrown out or re-scored in favor of the champion because "you've got to beat the champion"

**Taunting of opponents and poor sportsmanship will result in fines similar to the Pride yellow card system in Japan

**Introduction of gi's

**A policy similar to the army's "don't ask, don't tell" philosophy is adopted for steroid use

**No commissions - only negative can come from these people - too many false positives - fighters don't lie, testing does!

**All contracts are non exclusive - even if you have a title

**Every show will feature a tournament

**Gene LeBell will officiate every match

**The company will be made public with priority made to the online fan with the most posts

And finally - tickets for the second show will be impossible to buy, because the company will be out of business by then.

I actually agree with this one.... I dont know what that makes me, but you should beat the champion. IMHO Quinton should get an automatic rematch......Am I wrong??

I have no problem with the idea of a champion being entitled to a rematch. I think Quinton deserves it because the match was so close. And from a fan's perspective, really fun to watch. I don't think anyone wouldn't want to see Rampage and Griffin go at it again.
